Phoenix House has a wide range of facilities for your comfort and safety at home. These include:
24 hour on-site assistance – help is on hand in an emergency, for total peace of mind for you and your loved ones.
Tailored personal care, if required* – we can give advice and help you to choose the most suitable care package for your needs.
Communal lounges and gardens – a place to meet old friends and new, have a chat with your neighbours or join in a fun leisure, fitness or recreational activity. You are welcome to invite family and friends to visit you and enjoy the space of our homely, comfortable lounge spaces where each lounge has a tea kitchen, so you can make a drink and snack for everyone. Alternatively, you can relax outside and enjoy the patio and garden areas that are planted for year round garden interest and are designed to encourage wild birds to visit.
Feel safe and secure in your home – our security system includes door entry systems and CCTV, so you can feel safe that only those invited or who work at Phoenix House can gain access.
3 course lunch with table service – our catering is managed by a professional chef and their team who offer a daily fresh, home cooked meal. Our food is delicious and offers the right nutritional balance for our customers, helping them to eat for health and pleasure. We have themed meals throughout the year and cater for all tastes, allergies, nutritional requirements and offer right sized portions for customers with a smaller appetite, or a packed lunch. Visitors are welcome to join you for lunch in our dining room*.
Laundry – do your own laundry using our energy efficient washing machines, tumble dryers and outside washing lines. If you need domestic assistance including laundry, we can help with that too.
Fancy a soak? Power assisted communal bathing facilities are available as part of your care package, so you can enjoy a relaxing bath knowing that someone is close by to help you.
Activities – our residents’ association, with the support of the team at Phoenix House, organise a varied programme of activities to provide entertainment, exercise and stimulation. Regular exercise classes, music afternoons, bingo, quizzes and craft classes are all part of the programme. You are welcome to join in as much or as little as you wish. We have a small library of books, games, puzzles and music CDs for you to use as well as a Hobbies and Activities Room. We also extend a warm welcome to older people from the wider community to meet and take part in activities.
Car park – we have a spacious and well-lit car park for residents and visitors, with CCTV for added security.
On-site hairdressing and nail salon* – treat yourself to a trim, a new hairstyle or a beautiful manicure in our friendly and reasonably priced salon. Feel free to drop in for a chat with the friendly salon team at any time.
2 Guest rooms for when family and friends visit* – if your family and friends want to come and visit for longer than a day, you are welcome to book one (or both) of our cosy guest rooms for a small charge. Each suite is comfortably furnished and has an en-suite shower room. Ideal for spending more time together!
On-site shop – we have a small on-site shop .
Wheelchair and Electric Scooter Store – we have a good sized secure store with electric charging facilities for your use.
