At SCHA, we understand the importance of healthy and nutritious dining for our extra care residents. We have contracted Caterplus (part of the Elior family of companies), a bespoke catering company to help us provide a great dining experience and social hub.
Every resident is considered individually when serving meals and drinks and we help our residents by offering delicious and nutritious food for health and for pleasure. All dietary requirements are met and, where necessary, an alternative menu is offered. Vegan, gluten free and “free from” foods are all part of our service and this is why our catering service is such an important part of our extra care schemes. We ensure our residents eat wholesome, home-cooked, unprocessed fresh meals every day.
Elior says “We’re Inspired by the privilege of improving the wellbeing of residents. Our business has been built on the principle that we are dedicated to improving the lives of the people we serve every single day with great food and dedication to their individual needs and preferences. We work to earn their trust, not just through the quality of our food and the professionalism of our people, but also through genuine helpfulness, respect and warmth of service. And we create service environments for our customers that contribute to their social life and friendships.”
Visitors to the scheme are welcome to enjoy a lunchtime meal with a resident. Meals are offered to visitors at a very reasonable cost and are a great way to enjoy more time with your family and friends. Visitor meal requests can be made in advance via the scheme manager.
Scores on the Doors – 5 star rating
We take pride in our catering service with meals delivered by the chefs, kitchen and service teams. We are delighted that our dining rooms at Phoenix House and Apartments have been awarded a 5 star rating from the local authority’s Environmental Health department, so you know that our kitchens and food preparation is extremely hygienic and well managed.
