Supporting our local food bank in 2026
Throughout December 2025 and into 2026, residents at Phoenix House began donating unwanted food items to a local food bank to support those affected by the cost-of-living crisis.
The initiative was a great success, and it has now been decided that donations will continue throughout 2026.
A special thank you goes to Maggie for coming up with the idea, organising everything, and ensuring the food reaches the local food bank. Your efforts are truly making a difference to people in need within the local community.
Well done to everyone involved!
If you’d like to help, here is what you can and can’t donate.
Please donate:
- Toiletries – soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.
- Baby care items – nappies, wipes, baby formula, baby toiletries, etc.
- Non-perishable items – tins, pasta, rice, sauces, cereals, etc.
Please don’t donate:
- Clothing of any kind
- Second-hand items
