Advice for hot weather

Hot weather

High temperatures can make homes uncomfortable, particularly on upper floors or in rooms with direct sunlight.

We advise you to:

  • Keep curtains or blinds closed in rooms facing the sun
  • Open windows early morning or late evening when it is cooler
  • Drink water regularly
  • Avoid using ovens or heat‑generating appliances during the hottest part of the day

If possible, use communal areas, as they are cooler than individual flats.

We are reviewing the provision of fans in communal areas during periods of high temperatures and how this would be managed.

Please check on neighbours who may need support.
