Board and senior management surgeries
In February, our CEO, Catherine Kevis, and Danny Thomas (Board member) visited Trinity Apartments as part of SCHA’s programme of resident surgeries, giving residents the opportunity to speak directly with Board members and senior managers in an informal setting.
Residents heard about the work of the Residents’ Scrutiny Panel (RSP), which has recently completed its first review into complaints and presented recommendations to the Board in March. New members are welcome to join the RSP.
Key priorities for the year ahead were shared, including long‑term investment in homes, reviewing leasehold arrangements, increasing resident engagement, and strengthening health and safety systems.
Residents gave generally positive feedback about living at Trinity House, while also raising some concerns. These included leasehold charges, maintenance response times, fire door works, TV aerial issues and building security. It was also clarified that SCHA is the landlord, while care services are provided by external agencies commissioned by Solihull Council.
All issues raised will be followed up on, and residents will be kept informed as work progresses.

The next event is lunch with our Chair, Adrian Evans, on Friday 19 June at Phoenix House. Adrian will be joining residents for lunch in the dining room from 12.00pm.
This is a relaxed opportunity for residents to engage with Adrian, alongside a senior manager from SCHA.
